We recommend using the KS SLC smart load controller from Könner & Söhnen® to protect the grid from overloading during peak electricity consumption hours when multiple power consumers other than the charging station are connected to the grid at the same time.
This device monitors the total current input to the grid online, and if the total input current exceeds the permissible limit while charging your vehicle, the KS SLC smart load controller will automatically reduce the output current of the EV charging station to ensure stable operation of your household appliances. Now that the power consumption of your household appliances has decreased, your electric vehicle will start charging again in normal mode, i.e. the charging output current for the electric vehicle will increase again automatically.
